I'm calling it 'The Florence Knapp Effect'.

Every reader of every book will respond to its themes, issues and relationships according to their own life experience - that is to say, uniquely - so what we each take from a book, and how, will be different in so many subtle ways. 

Occasionally our reaction can feel so personal that we wish we could share and explore the impact a book has had on us.

For me, 'The Names' by Florence Knapp is just such a book. One of it's central themes is very close to my heart and is taking me back to times and events I wouldn't be comfortable talking about - even in a friendly book group.

For the forseeable future I am offering two online bibliotherapy sessions per week free of charge to anyone over age 18 who would like space to explore their response to a current or recent read.
